Song Li

Song Li

Chair of the Board

Dr. Song Li is the Chairman, CEO, and Founder of Frontage Laboratories ranked as one of the best Contract Research service providers in the pharmaceuticals industry in the USA and China. Dr. Li has founded several companies over the years, most notably as the Founder and Chairman of Frontida BioPharma, Inc and United Research Laboratories, LLC. Dr. Li is a renowned scientist in the analytical and bioanalytical chemistry field, with proven experiences in drug development spanning 30 years, as well as a Mentor to hundreds of scientists. Dr. Li is also the co-founder of the Asian American Entrepreneur Association.

Jimmy Wang

Jimmy Wang earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from NYU in the mid-1980's. He began his career at DuPont Pharm as a bench scientist and became an expert in FDA consulting services for several decades. He became an entrepreneur and founded several companies in Nutra/Pharma field in research, manufacturing, and distribution during the past 30 years. He has built strong teams for each business. Now he is training his second generation to take over the business. He is also the co-founder of the Asian-American Entrepreneur Association (AAEA) and was selected as the organization's first President and Chairman in 2020. He has done this job for over 3 years, and he will continue to volunteer and contribute to the Asian American Entrepreneurs Communities.

Jiang is a professor of finance and the associate dean for programs at the College of Business, Stony Brook University. She co-directs the Center of Entrepreneurial Finance and actively contributes to the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Long Island, New York, and beyond.

Quinn is a partner at Hill Wallack LLP and has been in private practice for over 17 years. He is a veteran transactional attorney with a prior litigation background. He assists the AAEA in its legal matters and provides legal support and advice to different functions of the AAEA.

Lijuan Tang

Secretary of the Board

Dr. Tang is a scientist with over 30 years of experience in the US pharmaceutical industry. Before coming to the USA, she also worked at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in China. Later in her career, Dr. Tang became an entrepreneur and co-founded Phillab, later becoming the CEO of SPH Phillab until she retired. Dr. Tang is the co-founder of AAEA and is currently the secretary of the organization.

Dr. Ian Y. Pan is a distinguished medicinal chemist and pharma executive with over 20 years' industrial experience in oncology and antiviral drug discovery. Before his current involvement in biotech investments, he also led two international CDMO companies, focusing on pre-clinical R&D. Dr. Pan holds a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University.

Jianping has served as an educator and entrepreneur, teaching at institutions such as UPenn, Stony Brook, Pratt, and others. She has extensive experience promoting Asian American culture, art, business, and health. In addition to her real estate and healthcare work, Jianping operates a full-service college admissions counseling service.

Yang Zhang is the Assistant to the President's Office at AAEA and an experienced engineer with double Master's Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Project Management from NYU. As co-founder of PinOn, Inc., and KOIN Capital Inc., he combines expertise in industrial 3.0 computer vision and generative AI for financial services.

Dr. Shao Fu is serving as VP of Operations at AAEA. Dr. Fu co-founded Novelstar Pharmaceuticals Inc. in 2018 with the mission of building an innovation-focused specialty pharmaceutical company. Dr. Fu has wide experience in research & development, pilot plant construction, GMP qualification, scale-up and tech transfer, portfolio selection, clinical studies, and business development.

Linhui Wang works at Stony Brook University Hospital as a lead programmer/analyst. She studied statistics & operations research at RPI and previously served as a quality analyst at Cambridge Health Alliance. In China she studied Ocean Chemistry at Qingdao Ocean University.

Han Qin is a visual artist and digital art professor based in NY. Her artworks have been exhibited worldwide. Han is responsible for developing cultural and educational programs and coordinating projects in support of the arts in the association's extended network.

Dr. Lihua Zheng is serving as a Co-General Counsel at AAEA of the Laws and Regulations Team. Dr. Zheng holds double Ph.D. degrees in law and biomedical science. He leverages extensive scientific experience in biotech development and corporate law to support innovation within the Asian American Entrepreneurial community.

Sophie Mu, a senior banker at East West Bank, has 20+ years of experience managing $1B+ in portfolios and leading complex financing deals across M&A, LBOs, and project development. She specializes in distressed credit, debt restructuring, and asset recovery. Holding a BA in Accounting and an MBA in Corporate Finance, she previously worked as a corporate financial manager and federal tax specialist.

Xiaozhe Yan is the Executive Chair of the Chinese Association of Iowa, an Overseas Commissioner of the China Overseas Exchange Association, and the first Consular Protection Liaison Officer at the Chinese Consulate in Chicago. He also serves in leadership roles across various non-profits and councils, promoting international communication and philanthropic initiatives.
